It was a warm spring day. We kissed the kids goodbye
and told them we would be back soon with our new puppy!
We drove to Ma. and I remember the moment I saw him as though it were yesterday.
He was playing ball in the front yard. Eight weeks old and so full of life.
We got out of the car. My husband helped "Edie" down from the back seat.
We brought her along because we really needed her approval also.
She seemed to like him but we were realistic in the fact that she would be the
boss and would teach him to treat her with respect. We were mentally preparing for the disputes that would occur. Much like
sibiling rivalry. Although male and female bull terriers can co-exsist in a home, you never really know how they will re-act.
We had inquired about getting another bull terrier earlier that year. One
was available at that time.We had some situations at that time and were unable to get that male. I am so glad too. There
is not a dog alive that I would want instead of him. I have heard many times that you get the dog that you
are meant to have. All bull terriers are individuals with individual personalities. Bandit is the most loving male dog I have
ever known. His temperment is outstanding. His patience admirable and his playfulness is abounding. And he is nice to look
at too. It wasn't always this way......
